St Budeaux Cycling Club

 Plymouth, Devon, England.

IMPORTANT this Sunday is the Club's Sporting 14 Time trial at Kelly Bray starting at 1000, Now if you would like to ride out we will be meeting at the Tamar Bridge car park Plymouth side before 0830 as we will be leaving PROMPTLY at 0830 to get there on time

Last Sunday was Plymouth's SKYRIDE which turned out well in the end. After no email, txt to let me know when and where I was required to be, I rode up to the Hoe and found the person responcable for ths task. Marshall point ten, looking at the map, Millbay Docks, Wrong!! said two lovely young ladies who had the job of trying to tell Aggresive Nob head car drivers that since 0800 they where not allowed to drive on these roads....they had no way of enforcing this point. Eventually I found out that I was up by the Continental Hotel on the round about with Mel, a lovely lady who had already been Harassed by Retard Car Drivers " nothing new there" , so as another RETARD Car Driver started to HARASS "Mel" I walked up to him....explain the way he should go and immediatly he went on his way back to Manchester...the marshalls on Notte street where suffering the same abuse...WHY?? Traffic Control was very Lacking...the road should have been safe to ride by 1000, it was until 1100 when they had to let the riders GO that it turned into a really great day for riding your bike on CAR FREE ROADS.....

Now this lovely lad rode the whole route SAFELY thanks to the Plymouth Skyride, not possible normally thanks to the aggressive tin box drivers

This little girl could ride SAFELY along this road. Oh and she ENJOYED the day.

Because of the safe roads and the Fun on the Hoe

A really great day was had by all :-D

The last event is on Sunday
10th June...as above. Remember the more the merrier...see you there, if you are intending to enter hurry up, use the ride out as a WARM UP.

the chain don't fit there...! even I know that...

Whilst I was in sunny Australia I need to read the local cycling magazines, just to see if they where differant to our cycling magazines. You can get all the British cycling magazines, but "ouch ! "  they are very expensive.
The average price for an Ozzy mag is $8, whilst a Brit mag will be twice that, $15 to $18 for a mag thats maybe a month late.

On my way to Oz we stopped over in Singapore, and passing the time away I spotted a Malaysian cycling magazine, this was Cycle Asia. As we all know they hold the Tour of Langkawi, plus the Speedy Tour D`Indonesia...So what would you think its content would cover, just road bikes ? just mountain bikes...no both having equal space.
Written with great interest, new blood, as if they had just discovered Cycling in all its forms. A breath of fresh air, after I suppose reading British magazines for so long.

As you can see from the front cover not to dissimiler from our mags, but its whats inside where it really becomes interesting, how the growth of cycling in the Far East is growing. Now you have to remember that it may be sunny, but it is very hot and Humid, and yet they still get out and ride and boy doe's it rain.
You will find more about the Australian Magazines over on the Club magazine page.
