On alternate Sundays we ride either road or mountain bikes. We ride a route for that particular Sunday the ride is normally decided on when we all meet up.
Distances range for mountain bikes is approximately 20 to 40 miles over Dartmoor, weather dependant.
Road bike rides can be about 60 miles to 75 miles around Devon or Cornwall.
But don’t be put of by these distances: it doe's takes time to build up the stamina to ride these distances.
REMEMBER No one is ever left behind!
We ride at a pace of the slowest rider. But hay! not that slow, you should be able to ride at a brisk pace. About 12mph or quicker.
You will find your ability, you will also learn a lot about body’s ability to go further and faster, with practise.
You will make friends with people who have the same interests as you, riding bikes over all terrains and distances.
We do not ride hell for leather all the time and we also stop at cafes for refreshments so we are not uncivilised. So bring some cash!
Wet weather clothing, because the sun doesn't always shine.
Mobile phone, always handy for the unexpected. Inner tubes, pump, chain link, multi tool...
